Named by the Los Angeles Times ""Cirque du Soul,"" the extraordinary UniverSoul Circus in Atlanta has the distinction of being the only circus company in the US owned by Afro Americans, and the group of performers are African Americans as well.
Their Ringmaster is Casual Cal who has taken his job to the next level by wearing a Mello Yellow or Cherry Red Colored Zoot Suit, matching hat and tennis shoes and he enters the ring to the sounds of a James Brown classic.
But besides all this hoopla, UniverSoul Circus‘ goals are high. They put on a splendid show that talks about family values and teaches positive ideals and self-esteem to the young ones.
