 Sky High Balloon Festival

Sky High Balloon Festival. Imagine looking up, up, up and seeing the sky filled with brilliant colors and puffy hot-air balloons. At the Sky High Balloon Festival at Callaway Gardens, that sight is just the beginning. This family-friendly, old-fashioned weekend event is highlighted by a ""balloon glow"" on Friday evening that will enchant your kids and create a lasting memory for you.

This Labor Day weekend will mark the fifth anniversary of this celebration of flight, and offers a realm of activities that promise togetherness and enough variety to keep all ages smiling.

You and your kids will be thrilled with the tethered balloon rides that are a hallmark of the event. Mixed in with that exciting ride are musical entertainers, a wandering magician and sand castle construction.

For dad, there‘s the Classic Car Show, while you and the kids might want to make a tie-dye t-shirt or climb the rock wall. Craft activities are mixed in along with a Spider Jump and a Moon Walk, always a favorite, as well as swimming, mini-golf, train rides and helicopter rides. Yes, helicopter rides! The face painting will be a must as will the Frisbee Dog Demonstrations and the evening balloon launch. Plan for a full day and some tired participants at day‘s end.
