Pumpkin Festival. You may want to sit in the Great Pumpkin Patch with Charlie Brown, but you can bet your kids know where to really find the best pumpkin around--at the Pumpkin Festival at Stone Mountain Park.

This family-pleaser is held on fall weekends, and promises a range of activities sure to ignite the excitement of kids of any age. For the younger ones, who could resist Pumpkinville, featuring the John Deere Pumpkin Haulin‘ event, where kids get to drive battery-operated Gators around a track?

Too tame for you? How about Pumpkinpalooza, a chance for teams to meet and beat a series of challenges designed for kids and adults. Now that you have an appetite, try the Mrs. Smith‘s Pie Eating Contest, featuring, pumpkin pie in an endless supply. For many folks, that would be a full event, but this is just the beginning.

The festival also features a real favorite, the Pumpkin Express Train Ride and Scarecrow Show, sure to have your kids wide-eyed and smiling.

Pumpkin sculpting is a tried and true favorite for all ages, and deserves some fierce concentration to get that just-right expression on your pumpkin‘s face.

One of the best things about the whole event is the One-Day All Attractions Pass, which allows you access to all sorts of park features and the Pumpkin Festival activities too.

While some special shows will be gated during the festival, there is plenty in this one-day pass to keep you and your kids laughing and sharing precious moments in a family-friendly environment. Sure beats sitting in a pumpkin patch.
