Jack and the Beanstalk will never be the same. This adaptation is a one-man mini-musical that will have your kids moving to the grooving and getting a taste of some rap and roll. Jack, that lazy scoundrel, awakens to find the family cow has disappeared. Most grown-ups and even more kids, know the classic story, but this one offers some new twists. Jack wants to be a rock star, or maybe a pirate. The giant’s wife is a rapper. What on earth is going on here? Well, you will just have to attend the show.

Puppeteer Lee Bryan is well-known for his zany and fun adaptations of old tales, and this one lives up to the hype. The important thing to know is that Jack manages to outwit the unfriendly giant and save the family farm, just as he’s supposed to; he just manages to do it in some unconventional ways.

Keeping up with today’s world keeps the story relevant to kids and puts them in the frame of mind to enjoy and absorb. And really, who cares how Jack gets the lesson, as long as he gets it? You and your kids will laugh and cheer as the tale unfolds in crazy fashion and Jack saves the day. Will he become a rock star? Who knows…
