The entire town comes out to show support for the contestants of the Georgia Peach Queen Pageant, where hopefuls for the crown come from all over the state.
Once named the queen of the Georgia peaches, these bright young ladies lead the Grand Parade through the nostalgic main streets of Fort Valley. For those athletic types, the annual 5K race is right up your alley…which is sure to be a much-needed exercise after dining on the world’s biggest peach cobbler. This record-breaking treat is perfect for every sweet tooth as the colossal cobbler contains a whopping 75 gallons of juicy Peach County peaches.
The youngsters in your group will surely love watching the mountains of sugar, flour, milk, and margarine combine to make this divine dessert, which helping with the mixing process.
