Atlanta’s Fourth of July Celebration Article Date: 6/29/06
Location: Centennial Olympic Park
Atlanta’s 4th of July celebration at Centennial Olympic Park is kid- and family-friendly, so pack up the whole gang and head out to the park for a day of fun, festivities and of course, fireworks. You’ll ooh and ahh as beautiful colors explode against the city skyline. But there’s plenty to do before that, so make a day of it and enjoy every bit of fun this day has to offer. The park is ready to celebrate, with music, kids’ activities and lots of yummy food to tempt you. Maybe you want to pack a picnic for lunch and enjoy the FountainSide Café for dinner. Additional food vendors will be there to tempt you with ribs, chicken, fried fish and Italian ice, among other tasty treats.
The park is always a favorite spot, so bring the sunscreen and let the kids splash in the fountain for awhile; they can probably entertain themselves for hours without ever leaving this unique and refreshing spot. Stake your spot and enjoy a laid back day of relaxation and celebration of freedom hard won and worth commemorating in a family way. Your kids will have a blast and you’ll enjoy not having to do much other than watch them have a great time.
