Atlanta’s Coca-Cola Summer Film Festival brings a time-honored tradition back for the summer, and it’s one you’ll want to enjoy with the whole family.
Movies start at 8 pm for each showing, and include such varied titles as Coachella, Madea’s Family Reunion, and the Maltese Falcon. A mix of contemporary and classic films, the festival offers a little something for every age and interest group. You can come early and unwind after work at the social mixers, or arrive just in time for the lights to go down, and get lost in a good movie. If the kids are in attendance, you’ll want to arrive at 7:20 pm, when the Mighty Mo organ gets going, offering a sing-along for the whole group. It’s a magical pre-show concert that has become beloved and quite famous among Atlantans. Highlights of this summer include showings of King Kong, Ice Age: The Meltdown and V for Vendetta, so get your tickets and get ready for some fun family escapism.
