Atlanta Family Fun Day
Article Date: 6/22/06

Location: Centennial Park

Family Fun Day starts this month and boy are a lot of moms really glad about that. This month’s theme is Our Many Cultures, which is a perfect opportunity to show your kid how much variety there is out there in the world. You can expect street performers, face painters, wandering minstrels and interactive workshops. It’s a day of interaction, education, and of course, fun for all ages. Kids love the park and the fountain they can cool off in and have a lot of fun at the same time. The park is open, airy and relaxing. Just show up, wander around, and enjoy the show, so to speak.

If you have kids, this is an especially welcome treat, but even if you don’t, you’ll find yourself smiling as you watch the activities and events unfolding throughout the day. Plan an adventure that includes time here, a meal out somewhere and a stroll through the whole park. The gathering place for millions of visitors each year, the park always teaches us something about the spirit of teamwork and the importance of unity, so it’s a great chance to remind your kids of both every time you visit.
