 Best Campsites For Atlanta Families
Camping outdoors for a night or two has become a summer family tradition for many Americans. There is something to be said for setting up a tent, building a campfire, roasting hot dogs and marshmallows, and telling scary stories under the night sky. Family camping trips are almost like a birthright, and every child deserves to go on at least one fun camping trip before they turn 18. If you live in or near the Atlanta area, you're in luck because the entire metro area is surrounded by forests and lots of lush trees Southern pine trees, stately magnolias, and dogwoods. Kids will enjoy getting closer to nature and they will learn much more about it once they can see it in action.

Before I list the three best campsite in the Atlanta area, I would like to share a few extra tips to make the trip easier and more fun. Pack up some nature books about trees, birds, or wildlife. Kids will enjoy searching for animals and plants they just read about, and you will feel safer once your children recognize things to avoid(like poison ivy). And don't forget to bring sunscreen and a natural insect repellent.
