Atlanta Bark in the Park Concert Article Date: 7/20/06
Location: Piedmont Park
Atlanta’s Bark in the Park event is for people and pets of all kinds. Now in its eighth year, the event features canine Frisbee-catching exhibitions and a whole lot more. There will be pet adoption opportunities, for those who have been looking for a furry friend to take home and love, and of course, your pet is welcome at the park to frolic and bark until you’re worn out!
Kids will love attending, since there are a myriad of cool animals to enjoy and lots of other kids to meet. Parents enjoy this day in the park because everyone gets to burn some of that energy they’re so full of. The highlight of the day is of course the symphony playing light classical favorites. This year, the orchestra will play mainly animal-themed selections by Strauss, Ravel, Debussy, Saint-Saems, Wagner, Von Suppe, Calliet, Mancini and Tchaikovsky.
With an entertaining and well-rounded program, this will be an afternoon that soothes the wild little beasts in your family and shows everyone a great time to boot.
