Overview
Opened in the fall of 2002, the
Schwartz Center for Performing Arts takes Emory University to new heights. Now
they are able to offer a central location for all the musical programs.
The Schwartz Center is a 90,000-square-foot facility that encompasses a concert
hall, a dance studio and a theater lab where new works are being developed. The
center encourages and inspires students to create and also to expand their
horizons.
Another facility is Cherry Logan Emerson Concert Hall. A stage where
world-renowned performers grace its stage and is the meeting point for Emory
ensembles.
Emory's Dance Program has its own studio known as the Dance Studio.
The Theater Lab is the place where the art of playwriting is created and
developed. A writing center, a space for theater reading and a teaching lab all
gather here in one place.
The arts are synonyms of civilization and culture and the Schwartz Center is
please to offer the perfect venue for cultivating these and a place where they
are passed on to future generations.
The Performing Arts Center has a capacity for 702 guests and is the perfect
location for shows, musical functions or civic events.
