Dojo Philosophy: Our objective is to promote all of the following in training our valued ninjas: Balance, control, coordination, discipline, fitness, focus, memory, respect, and teamwork.
Our programs combine experienced instruction towards the development of Life Skills which every child needs with active Ninja Fun that every child loves!
Some activity features include: Child-specific Ninja Warm-Up exercises Jiu-jitsu techniques especially designed for Kids Ninja Fun Obstacle Course Here, the kids participate in a specialty obstacle course which incorporates hand/eye coordination skills, as well as tumbling or sparring training for higher belts.
At the end of every class, the kids bow to demonstrate discipline and respect.
About Jiu-Jitsu
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (or Gracie Jiu-Jitsu) is considered the most effective form of self-defense in the world. Started by the monks in India millenniums ago, Jiu-Jitsu is the base of all martial art systems. It made its way to the northern part of Brazil around 1920 and was taught to Carlos Gracie Sr. by a Japanese master known as "Count Koma" (Mitsuyo Maeda).
In Rio de Janeiro, Carlos and his younger brother, Helio, refined the techniques handed down by "Count Koma" and developed the system known as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu soon evolved into a system of leverages that became more effective than its Japanese counterpart. Making it possible for a smaller person to defend himself against a large opponent. With real confrontations proving it effective, again and again, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has proven itself as the most effective form of self-defense in the world.
Law enforcement and the military use Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as their main self-defense system for hand-to-hand combat.
Our Alliance kids program offers an age-specific Kids Jiu-Jitsu curriculum that has been professionally designed for children along with character building tools found only in Martial Arts.
