Explore the 1928 Swan
House mansion, the pre-Civil War Tullie Smith Farm, the extensive research archives, and thirty-three acres of
beautiful gardens and nature trails. Be sure to include the Coca-Cola Cafe and
Museum Shop.
Visitors can make reservations for all tours listed below upon arrival at the
admissions desk in the Atlanta History Museum. |
Swan House
Thirty-minute guided tours of Swan House focus on the architecture, landscaping,
interior design, furnishings, and historical context of the house. Tours are
available daily from 11am (1pm on Sun) until 4pm
Tullie Smith Farm
Costumed interpreters lead thirty-minute tours inside the Tullie Smith House
from 11:15am (1:15pm on Sun) until 4:15pm

Guided tours begin at 1pm on Sat and Sun
Turning Point:
The American Civil War
Guided tours begin at 2 and 3pm on Sat and Sun. Soldiers' Tours, led by costumed
interpreters, are on the second and fourth Sundays of each month at 2 and 4pm.
Atlanta History Center Gardens
Guided tours of the Mary Howard Gilbert Memorial Quarry Garden begin at 1:30pm
on weekends. Guided tours of the Tullie Smith Farm gardens begin at 1:30pm on
weekends.
The Coca-Cola Café
If your day at the Atlanta History Center has left you a bit thirsty, stop by
the Coca-Cola Café and enjoy one of Atlanta's oldest and one of the world's most
visible beverage traditions along with lunch or a snack.
The Coca-Cola Café is a recreation of a 1950s soda fountain, featuring
sandwiches, salads, soups, and milk shakes.
OpenTue ? Fri 11am - 3:30pm, Sat ? Sun 12pm - 3:30pm. Be sure to come by for a
tasty and convenient lunch on site.
Swan Coach House
Swan Coach House, now a restaurant and gift shop, once served as the garage and
servants? quarters for Swan House. Although the Swan Coach House is located on
the grounds of the Atlanta History Center, it is operated by the Forward Arts
Foundation, a nonprofit organization created to promote the visual arts in
Atlanta.
The Swan Coach House has become a popular place for both neighborhood groups
and out-of-town visitors to gather for lunch, which is served from 11am ?
2:30pm, Mon - Sat.
