Celebrate Earth Day in Atlanta, GA
Earthweek is our yearly chance to show our planet a little care and appreciation and its popularty underscores the successes the environmental movement has had in helping our country understand the importance of preserving our precious resources. But we have a long way to go in attaining sustainability so your involvement in Earthweek is critical...and fun!
Teach your kids about important environment issues and increase the community's awareness all while having a blast at Earth Day Kids Fest '09. To be held at the Chattahoochee Nature Center on April 18, 2009 from 10 AM to 3 PM. The whole family will enjoy many ways to connect to nature and learn fun new ways to help the planet.
-Meet Captain Planet who will give you the power! -Visit interactive booths and exhibits from over 25 local groups and environmental organizations! -Explore environmental themes such as clean water and air, wildlife and habitat protection, water conservation, and recycling while finding ways of taking green steps to a new level in your home and business! -Enjoy live musical entertainment with messages about our Mother Earth! -See live animal presentations with CNC naturalists -Paddle a canoe on CNC’s Beaver Pond

Cost is $5 per person (FREE for children 2 and under, and if you ride your bike from home to CNC).
