Location: 395 Piedmont Avenue, NE, Atlanta
The Atlanta Civic Center has, for more than three
decades played host to some of the world's most highly anticipated productions.
The Atlanta Civic Center earned the privilege of serving as the official venue for
the 1996 Olympic Games' Cultural Olympiad. In 2001, the Atlanta Civic Center was renamed as a lasting tribute to one of Atlanta's most beloved philanthropists, Boisfeuillet
Jones.
The performance stage is the largest in the Southeast
making the Civic Center the venue of choice for major Broadway Productions. In an
effort to provide quality entertainment for patrons of all ages and ethnic backgrounds,
the Civic Center is proud to host an extraordinary array of diverse productions.
Be amazed by the presentation of celebrated blockbuster Broadway shows such as Riverdance,
Miss Saigon, Les Miserables, The Wizard of Oz and Show Boat.
Many joined them for the internationally acclaimed
and visually spectacular Cirque Du Soliel, staged in the Civic Center parking lot.
They welcome the young and the young at heart by offering the most popular productions
for children such as Barney's Big Surprise, Sesame Street Live, Scooby Doo Stagefright-Live
on Stage and Radio Disney's World Tour.
The Atlanta Civic Center is the venue chosen by
Chamber Theatre and the National Theatre of the Performing Arts for Educational
Outreach Productions for Adolescents. The production crew is intrigued by the unique
technical complexities inherent in each event they host, and are eager to accommodate
the special arrangements for live nationally broadcasted media events such as television's
Jeopardy! Tournament of Champions, and radio's syndicated Tom Joyner Morning Show.
Hearst Communications presented the thought provoking
Oprah Winfrey Personal Growth Summit and Unique Lives & Experiences Women's
Lecture Series featured film giants Whoopie Goldberg and Candice Bergen, as well
as Barbara Bush, Margaret Thatcher, Peggy Flemming and Leslie Stahl. Recent performers
include Prince, Melissa Etheridge, Brian McKnight, The Black Crowes, The Isley Brothers,

Def Comedy Jam, HBO's Chris Rock, Cedric the Entertainer, Steve Harvey, Bernie Mac
