Location: 11000 Alpharetta Hwy., Roswell, GA
There is nothing about bombing down a high-speed
straightaway in a high-performance SuperKart
that is similar to driving whatever
it is you drive - with one exception. You don't want to stop for directions. So
take a tour of the facility. And learn the lay of the land.
Interactive Simulators Reaction time on the tracks
a bit sluggish? Slip into one of the interactive racing simulators for a little
refresher course. They've dedicated over 10,000 square feet to an arcade with over
$1 million worth of the latest video and virtual reality games. There's football,
basketball, hockey, soccer, and you guessed it, more racing simulators than you
can shake a dip stick at.
Climbing Wall Even if you never race a single lap,
you'll still need more than a day to do all there is to do at Andretti. Take the
climbing wall - if you can. It's four stories of near vertical climbing. And whatever
you do, look down - it's a thrilling view.
Zip Line Climb up a steep incline over 4 stories.
Grab on and load up. Get the green light from a "dragstrip" syle timing system.
Now fly 300 feet across the room at 25 MPH. Please bring a change of underwear.
Ropes Course High above the madding crowd, a group
works together to cross an intricate webbing of ropes, beams and cables. There are
series of bridges, jumps and challenges. The team figures it out. They share something.
They bond. They count the number of bald spots below.
Billiards There are more subdued activities at Andretti
if you ever tire of racing (blasphemy). In a private, quieter room off the arcade,
you can smoke cigars and play billiards at one of six professional nine-foot Brunswick
tables. They overlook the tracks - so you're never too far from the action.
